KOOTENAI COUNTY ADMINISTRATION FACILITY

COEUR D'ALENE, ID

A new stand-alone facility, this project was designed to meet Kootenai County’s projected administration space needs for the next ten years.  Located on the existing County site, the facility was designed to respect the historically significant Courthouse while providing flexible workspace that embraces modern technology in terms of indirect lighting, data systems, communications and audio/visual capability.  Careful positioning of the facility allowed the design to work with the sloping site, positioning the main entrance on the lower level, adjacent to public parking.  The state-of-the-art long span, composite deck structural system allows for an open office plan and future space needs flexibility.
